Our greed led us underground The belly of the beast We hammered on its insides and woke it from its sleep We lit pyres, fires that burned for centuries before (AN ENTRANCE TO THE UNDERWORLD WE SHOULDN’T HAVE EXPLORED) Growing tired of devouring their stores (HARNESSING ITS RICHES, WE’VE UNLEASHED SOMETHING WORSE) What won’t expire, lies ever smoldering, forever in repose Our greed led us underground and right to the fucking thing’s door! If you climb the burning mountain to find the gates of hell (Behold!) All that’s been abandoned, all that’s been destroyed (Behold!) Endless desolation Gaze into the void
Behold the beast, forever in repose

I love it. Have to agree with still bummed: this packs an emotional punch but rocks hard. I've played this whole album repeatedly over the last week which is unusual for me. Exhilarating, poignant, intelligent, melodic. Robin Ward
