Losing patience, losing sleep Losing sight of what matters to me Losing what I thought I’d become Losing the battles I’ve already won Stomach in knots Nowhere to go Who would believe that any of this is true? Maintain appearances Ignore the sweat Pretend the trail of blood doesn’t begin with you Sun burns too bright Pupils won’t adjust Connection lost, never repaired again Grasping at air Coming up short Reaching for what never existed When did the days become so endless? And when did the nights become a blur? I think I’ve known all along that something’s wrong So very wrong Stomach in knots Nowhere to go Who would believe that any of this is true? Maintain appearances Ignore the sweat Pretend the trail of blood doesn’t begin with you Sun burns too bright Pupils won’t adjust Connection lost, never repaired again Grasping at air Coming up short Reaching for what never existed

I love it. Have to agree with still bummed: this packs an emotional punch but rocks hard. I've played this whole album repeatedly over the last week which is unusual for me. Exhilarating, poignant, intelligent, melodic. Robin Ward
